Waterside News: Road repairs, gate fixes, & HOA dues.

Good morning neighbors! As you may have noticed we are removing some trees and will be continuing to do so over the next few weeks. We are not trying to deface our community but are doing much needed tree work so that we can clear the line of sight when you are coming around corners and going up and down streets. We will also be trimming branches out of the roadways so that delivery trucks and people with large vehicles don't have to ride in the middle of the road in order to keep from scratching their vehicles. We will be removing trees from all banks that are rock based as these trees will eventually fall and block our roadways which could cause a safety hazard in case of emergencies. As we continue our work hopefully everyone will see the benefits of the work that is sorely needed and has been a long time since this has been done. Further the board has authorized Jim Luther to add an inverter to the exit gate so that in the event of power failure we will be able to open the exit gates so that residents may safely exit the subdivision. We are working on a plan to build some shoulders back up that are the most common places where people run off the road and break off corners of the asphalt. Hopefully we can extend the life of our roads by doing some preventative work and give our residents a little more breathing room as you come around some of these steep corners. Please be mindful of other neighbors as you are driving in the subdivision and try to watch your speed on our steep hills as it is easy to gain speed coming down them. The board has met twice since January 1st and are working hard to ensure that our community is in good hands. We have formed a road committee and we are in the process of evaluating our roads and their longevity. We are using a road survey done by the previous board in order to make repairs and get a realistic timeline before the roads will have to be repaved. Look for an invite to a summer meeting to discuss the paving once the committee has finished their evaluation.
